As term-time events start to wind down for July and August, we enter the season of Summer Glo. This is such an important time during the summer months as we take the time to rest and enjoy fellowship together as a community.
We will be gathering from late afternoon to early evening (times may vary according to the weather). A variety of summer activities will be set up such as volley ball, paddle-boarding and maybe even a game of rounders! The BBQs will be lit and we encourage you to bring your own food and refreshments to cook and enjoy.
25th July @ Minnis Bay
8th Aug @ Dumpton Gap
22nd Aug @ King George VI park
Whether you are new to Glo or have been coming along for years, this is a great opportunity to reconnect with the church community and meet new people in the summer sun!
Lark in the Park
Lark in the Park LITE is back this year from 9th – 15th August. This event is an important part of the Glo calendar as we come together as a church to serve and bless our local community with fun days, community action days, outdoor cinema and church in the park. There are so many different ways to get involved. Take a look at larkthanet.com to find out more and register as a volunteer.
From Sunday 25th July, Glo will be gathering for the 10am service only. There will be no gathering on Sunday 29th August as we encourage team to rest and take time for sabbath over the bank holiday weekend. The 10am and 11:30am services will then restart on Sunday 5th September.
On Saturday 24th July, Glo will be launching our first Prayer Walk around the coast of Thanet. The route has been split up into different sections – each ending in a coffee shop! Simply pick a route near you and take the time to pray as you walk on Saturday. If you prefer to travel by bike, car or ride the loop bus – there are ways for you to get involved.
