Mission

We love to support work beyond our borders and invest the wider church. With a vision for anyone over 15 to get on an adventure and serve the kingdom in other cultures, we encourage everyone to play a part in mission.

There are different avenues of getting involved directly as well as wide variety of peoples links to other nations but predominantly we host regular teams and commitments into…

Team Denmark

With our friends from New Generation Church - Sidcup, Glo has been part of sending mission teams to Denmark twice a year to serve a secondary age boarding school called Efterskolen - Kildervaeld and Euroclass (A Danish Gap Year).

The team host a week of lessons, assemblies, evening events, leadership classes as well as supporting the amazing team of teachers at the school.

Asha Project (India)

Asha was the first international friendship formed in Glo with teams now serving every year and supporting the work in different ways. Asha addresses deep-rooted social and poverty by making lasting benefits in the lives of slum dwellers through empowerment, healthcare, education, financial inclusion and environmental improvement.

Light for Kenya (Africa)

We are involved with a charity in Kenya called 'Light for the Masai' helping orphaned children access education, community support and providing resources desperately needed. Serving around 700 children Glo schedules an annual team to help build shelters, distribute supplies and serve the local church.

24-7 Mission Teams (Greece)

Every year Glo hosts a training event for leaders of churches and communities linked to 24-7 Prayer from all over Europe. You can get involved by hosting an international guest, serving on one of the event teams or you may even want to attend the annual European Gathering and be a part of the team!

Big Church Day Out

Each year we send a team of volunteers to serve at Big Church Day Out, a music festival at Wiston House in West Sussex. We take our inflatables and marquees down for the weekend and also help out with other work around the site, from flagpoles and tracking to running parts of the festival.

Compassion

Glo is a partner with Compassion, hosting an annual Compassion Sunday and we encourage every family to support a child living in less fortunate circumstances than here in the UK. With a focused support toward a village in Equador, Glo is hoping to be sending teams to the village in the near future.
